Yummy Hits Pure Miami
todayJune 17, 2025
Welp, so much for catching that late train home from MIA or Downtown after a night out. Tri-Rail is officially pulling the plug on its late-night service, and honestly… did anyone even know it was a thing?
After running a year-long pilot program designed to help night-shift workers, delayed flyers, and post-party zombies get around South Florida, Tri-Rail just announced it’s shutting it down for good. Why? Not enough riders. 📉
Here’s what’s changing:
❌ No more southbound trains after 9PM
❌ No more northbound trains after midnight
🗓️ All of this ends June 30
Translation: if you’re trying to get home late via public transit… good luck.
It’s another L for Miami’s already tragic late-night transit scene. Like, how are we a global party city with zero reliable late-night options that don’t involve $60 Ubers and praying your phone battery lasts till you get home?
Biggest question: Did you even know this service existed? Or is this exactly the issue — no one’s using public transit because no one even knows it’s there? 👀
Miami, let’s talk. Because being car-dependent 24/7 is not the flex we think it is.
