Yummy Hits Pure Miami
Okay, this might be one of the wildest stories to come out of Florida lately — and that’s saying a lot.
Investigators in Martin County are trying to track down a group of thieves who basically pulled off a “Mission Impossible”-style sneaker heist at the Treasure Coast Square Mall in Jensen Beach.
According to Sheriff John Budensiek, the suspects literally sliced through the roof of the mall (yes, the roof) and dropped into the Champs store like some kind of elite burglary squad. Once inside, they reportedly snatched 300–400 boxes of New Balance and Nike sneakers before disappearing into the night.
“These are not just the kids from down the road doing a fly-by-night burglary,” the sheriff said. “These are organized crime criminals.”
Authorities think the crew could be part of a traveling criminal group that’s been hitting stores across the state. But the sheriff’s confident his team — and other Florida agencies — will be catching up to them soon.
So yeah… somewhere out there, someone’s sitting on a warehouse-worth of fresh kicks. 👀
Moral of the story? Keep your sneakers locked and your roofs checked.
