Yummy Hits Pure Miami
Renowned vocalist Monica is set to collaborate with Nicki Minaj as a featured guest on the rapper’s eagerly awaited tour.
During her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, February 8, the Atlanta native revealed her participation as one of the opening acts for Minaj’s “Pink Friday 2 World Tour.” Monica will showcase a range of hits from her illustrious repertoire, commencing from the tour’s launch in March.
Expressing her gratitude towards Minaj, Monica remarked, “I’m truly thankful for Nicki because she’s one of those individuals who has consistently acknowledged the significance of Monica in my upbringing, despite some others seemingly forgetting.”
“It’s really cool not to be forgotten and to be called for opportunities like this,” she remarked. “So we’re going to make a memorable impact.”
Monica and Nicki previously collaborated on their first official track, “Love Me Enough,” featuring Keyshia Cole. The song is featured on the deluxe version of Pink Friday 2, titled “Gag City.” Monica’s last solo tour across the country was in 2015 for her “Code Red Experience” promoting her album Code Red. Following the announcement, Minaj confirmed the news and shared her excitement on Instagram.
“I’ve said it many times, this woman has been one of my biggest inspirations since I was in junior high,” Minaj wrote in her Instagram post. “The iconic, trendsetting Miss Thang herself, with hits upon hits upon hits ✨QUEEN @monicadenise will be one of the incredible artists joining me on the US leg of the #PinkFriday2 #GagCity Tour 🎀”
The “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” kicks off on March 1 in Oakland, California.
