Addressing the crowd, Drake solemnly remarked, “You never know what somebody’s reality will be when they walk out of this building.” He then paid tribute to the young mother and her child, expressing his condolences. The tragic incident occurred when the two women were struck by a reckless driver, allegedly speeding over 70 mph through several blocks. The driver, Monte Henderson, blew through a stop light, hitting another car before striking Alyssa Cordova and her mother Laticha Bracero. Bracero was pronounced dead at the scene, while Cordova passed away at the hospital later that night. Henderson was swiftly apprehended by the police following the incident.
