Since wrapping up her Positions era in 2021, Ariana Grande has kept fans eagerly anticipating her next musical move. During this time, she’s immersed herself in diverse projects like portraying Glinda in the upcoming Wicked movie adaptation and launching her makeup line, R.E.M. Beauty. While she’s collaborated with artists like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd, her solo music output has been relatively quiet.

However, Grande recently confirmed the release of her new album, “Eternal Sunshine,” in a candid interview with Zach Sang. This announcement has sparked excitement among fans, who are hungry for details about AG7. Here’s what we know so far: the lead single, titled ‘Yes, And?’, hints at the album’s direction; Grande’s discussions about the project suggest deeper insights into her creative process, the album’s release date, tracklist, title, producers, and more are eagerly awaited.

Ariana Grande has officially confirmed that she will be releasing Eternal Sunshine worldwide on March 8th, 2024. Taking to Instagram, Ariana unveiled the cover and title for the album. You can currently pre-order the album from Ariana’s official website. There are four different vinyl and CD variants.

Ariana first started teasing the project in December 2024 when she shared photos and videos of her working in the studio. She then archived all posts on her SweetenerInstagram account and began using the page to promote AG7.

In a video of her playing the album for her team, Ariana explained that she wrote it in September and October of 2023. In terms of the vibe, it’s “kind of a concept album” and it’s all piece of the “same story and experience”.

Ariana says the songs are “vulnerable” and also “play the part of what people expect her to be”.

Before officially announcing the album title, fans speculated that it would be named “Eternal Sunshine.” Ariana dropped hints in the teaser for the ‘Yes, And?’ video, including coordinates that match the filming location of the movie “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” Additionally, some fans believe “Eternal Sunshine” could be a nod to Ariana’s boyfriend, Ethan Slater, who shares the same initials.

Although Ariana hasn’t provided explicit insight into the title’s significance, it’s widely assumed to reference the beloved film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.” This movie, starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet, revolves around a couple who undergo a procedure to erase memories of each other.

In a conversation with Zach Sang, Ariana revealed that the red color theme of the era draws inspiration from Kate Winslet’s red hair in the film. Describing the music as “boppy” and “fun,” she also emphasized its emotional depth, suggesting that listeners can expect a blend of upbeat vibes with poignant undertones.

Since the announcement of “Eternal Sunshine,” Ariana Grande has disclosed that the album will feature 13 tracks. She has gradually unveiled the titles, and now we have the complete list:

It’s worth noting that Nonna, Ariana’s iconic grandmother who made an appearance on “Bloodline,” is featured on the track “ordinary things.”
