Karol G’s private jet made an emergency landing just outside Los Angeles on Thursday night (February 29) due to smoke detected in the cockpit. The pilot immediately rerouted the aircraft after noticing smoke in the front section, prompting a diversion to the nearest airport.
With 16 people on board, including the “Tusa” superstar herself, the jet, adorned with the same barbed-wire heart tattooed on Karol G’s arm, departed from Burbank airport earlier that night. However, it turned back over the Cajon Pass due to a midair issue. The aircraft safely touched down at Van Nuys Airport around 9:00 p.m.

Fortunately, everyone, including Karol G, disembarked safely and were greeted by friends and associates on the tarmac. Despite the scare, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident. The identities of the other passengers on the plane were not disclosed, nor was the specific reason for Karol G’s presence in Los Angeles during the Latin American leg of her Mañana Será Bonito Tour. Despite the frightening incident, Karol G remains committed to her schedule and is set to perform in Guatemala on March 1st.
