On Sunday, February 25, part two of the eagerly awaited Lifetime documentary, “Where Is Wendy Williams?”, premiered.
According to Lifetime’s press release, the two-part documentary offers “unparalleled access” to the former talk-show host. Over almost two years, cameras have documented Williams as she moves into “the next phase of her life” after the cancellation of her talk show.
“I have no money. If it happened to me, it could happen to you,” In the trailer, Williams, now 59, is seen inside her New York City apartment, as she shares her thoughts. The Lifetime documentary was filmed in 2022, following Williams being placed under financial conservatorship.
According to People, Williams has moved out of her apartment and has been in a treatment facility since last year.
Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and head of programming at A&E, Lifetime, and LMN, expressed that while Williams has been a longtime partner with Lifetime, her story is ongoing. She hopes that the documentary sheds light on Williams’s current situation, which remains largely unknown to the public.
In a press announcement released on Thursday, it was revealed that in 2023, Williams was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia. Aphasia is a brain disorder affecting memory, comprehension, and mobility, typically occurring after a stroke or brain injury but can also be progressive.
