Madonna has sparked controversy for her actions towards a fan during a recent concert. While onstage, the 65-year-old singer noticed someone sitting in the audience and proceeded to call them out, unaware that the individual was using a wheelchair. Video footage of the incident shared on TikTok captured Madonna’s questioning, “What are you doing sitting down over there?”

After moving closer to the edge of the stage to hear the fan’s response, Madonna realized the individual was using a wheelchair.

“Oh. Okay,” Madonna replied, acknowledging her mistake by calling herself “politically incorrect.”

“Sorry about that,” she added, attempting to rectify the situation by expressing gratitude for the fan’s presence.

While Madonna’s actions appeared to stem from a genuine misunderstanding, some fans were still upset by her decision to publicly call out the fan, considering there could be various health or personal reasons for someone to remain seated during a concert. Additionally, some found her apology lacking in sincerity.
