A scary incident occurred at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair on Sunday afternoon when a ride’s driveline came loose while people were on it. Thankfully, everyone on the ride was safe, but it was a frightening experience for those nearby. Measures are now being taken to address the issue and prevent it from happening again. “They gotta fix it, they gotta fix the problems,” expressed a concerned mother at the fairgrounds on Monday.

Before the fair’s opening, state ride inspectors conduct a thorough check of all rides, and the operating company conducts daily inspections. The ride in question did not pose any issues before Sunday, and none of the other rides at the fair were problematic either.
