The designated show center is situated at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, boasting a spacious aerobatic box spanning two miles wide, offering spectacular views from any spot along the beach. Although setting up chairs on the street is prohibited, spectators have options to enjoy the show. They can secure tickets for the Drop Zone premium beach area or opt for public locations north or south along the coast.

Additionally, viewing the Fort Lauderdale Air Show by boat is permitted within the designated area on the eastern perimeter of the United States Coast Guard Safety Zone, outlined in the provided map. This perimeter extends four miles parallel to the flight path of the performing aircraft, approximately one mile from the air show centerline.

That loud boom you hear isn’t a thunderstorm approaching (thankfully!), but it’s almost as thrilling. This year’s Fort Lauderdale Air Show features headline acts like the Air Force Thunderbirds, Heritage Flight, A-10 Thunderbolt II, Ghost Squadron, and SOCOM Para-Commandos, drawing in thousands to Fort Lauderdale Beach. Scheduled for Saturday, May 11, and Sunday, May 12, 2024, the air show kicks off its program around 11:45 am and wraps up around 3 pm on both days.
