ICYMI, Dynarex Corporation has expanded its recall of Dynacare Baby Powder due to a potential asbestos contamination. This recall isn’t just a heads-up—it’s crucial, especially with the health risks that come with asbestos exposure.

On Monday (October 28), Dynarex added more products to the recall, including both the 14 oz. and 4 oz. bottles of Dynacare Baby Powder. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) says asbestos, a mineral often found near talc (a common ingredient in cosmetics), is a known carcinogen and a huge no-go when it comes to baby products. Basically, this is serious, and using these powders could mean exposure to harmful asbestos fibers.

Here’s what you need to know: if you bought Dynacare Baby Powder that was shipped out to stores on or after January 18, 2024—especially in Florida or any states listed by the FDA—check your product’s lot number at the bottom of the bottle. All affected lot numbers, batch numbers, expiration dates, and pack sizes are listed on the FDA’s website.

What should you do if you have this product? Health officials are saying, stop using it immediately. You can return it to the store for a full refund, no questions asked.

For questions or more info, hit up Dynarex at 888-396-2739 or 845-365-8200 during business hours, or email them at [email protected]. And for all the details and product photos, check out the full recall notice at fda.gov.
