In the vibrant halls of Miami Norland Middle School, a powerhouse duo was born. Kennedi Duke, a rising star with big dreams, and her Musical Theatre teacher, Tanisha Cidel, built a bond over five years that transcended the classroom. Their shared love for the arts blossomed into a sisterhood that’s now taking center stage at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. 🎭💃

Kennedi isn’t just any student—she’s been mentored by Tanisha through the Evolutionary Arts Life Foundation, hitting stages across the U.S. to show off her incredible voice. But their journey took a meaningful turn when Kennedi joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami. Inspired by a performance at the BBBS Miami Headquarters, Tanisha stepped up to mentor her beyond the classroom, guiding her into a world of opportunities.

From BBBS events like the Gala and Graduation & Scholarship Ceremony to Girls Night Out and the Golf Tournament, Kennedi and Tanisha have been serving talent and heart everywhere they go. Whether they’re creating dances, chatting about their fave singers, or hyping each other up for their next performance, their bond is more than mentorship—it’s true sisterhood. 🫶🎶

Now, they’re taking their magic to the Big Apple, performing on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami float at the 98th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Rumor has it, a special guest will join them, and we’re dying to know who. 👀✨

Catch this dynamic duo shining on NBC this Thanksgiving—because from Miami to NYC, Kennedi and Tanisha are proving that the power of mentorship and artistry is unstoppable. 💪🎤
