TV legend Wendy Williams is facing a heartbreaking health battle as her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, revealed in a court filing that Wendy is “permanently incapacitated” due to early-onset dementia. 🧠💔
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the former daytime talk show queen, diagnosed with aphasia and dementia in May 2023, is now considered cognitively impaired. This update comes roughly a year after a legal guardian was assigned to manage Wendy’s health and finances.
Morrissey also addressed the controversy surrounding Lifetime’s Where Is Wendy Williams? documentary, which aired Wendy’s struggles with alcohol, including a moment where she drank an entire bottle of vodka. Back in February, Morrissey filed a lawsuit to block its release, and in this latest filing, she’s asking the court to redact sensitive details about Wendy’s health, family, and finances.
Despite her challenges, Wendy was last seen in public this August, shopping with her son at a holistic wellness store in New Jersey. And in October, she briefly stepped into the spotlight, discussing Diddy’s arrest in an interview with The Daily Mail.
Fans are heartbroken, but the love for Wendy remains strong. From her iconic “How you doin’?” catchphrase to her unforgettable presence in pop culture, Wendy’s legacy is untouchable. 💐
Let’s send love and positive vibes to Wendy and her family as they navigate this difficult chapter.
