Alright besties,if you’re planning to fly anywhere in the U.S. after May 7, 2025, listen up! The TSA is getting serious, and you’ll need a REAL ID or another compliant document (like a passport or Enhanced Driver’s License) to board d omestic flights or enter federal buildings.

o, what’s a REAL ID? It’s basically a driver’s license with a ✨gold star✨ that proves you’re officially cleared to fly. You can snag one at your local DMV, but don’t wait ‘til the last minute—lines are gonna be a nightmare.

The good news? It costs the same as a regular ID renewal, and if you’re in NYC or Long Island, some DMVs are even open on Saturdays this spring. If you want an Enhanced Driver’s License (which works for travel to Canada & Mexico too), that’ll set you back an extra $30.
