Hot Ones fans, we’ve got some not-so-fire news: Select Hot Ones-branded hot sauces are being recalled because they might contain, um… plastic. Yeah, not exactly the extra crunch you were looking for.

The sauces in question? Los Calientes Rojo and Verde by Heatonist, made by Karma Sauce Company. If you’ve been stocking up, check those labels ASAP. The affected Rojo variety was sold in 1-gallon jugs (two dozen of them, to be exact), while the Verde sauce was available in 5-ounce bottles, 1-gallon jugs, and even 5-gallon buckets (because apparently, some people take their spice VERY seriously).

These sauces have been featured on Hot Ones with some major celebs—we’re talking Selena Gomez, Kevin Hart, Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis, and more. But even A-listers wouldn’t want plastic in their wings.

If you have a bottle, check for these UPC codes: 8-51444-00803-5 and 8-51444-00810-03. If you find a match, toss it or return it ASAP. Need more details? Hit up the FDA’s website here.

Moral of the story: Stay spicy, but make sure your hot sauce isn’t bringing any unexpected ingredients to the party. 🔥
