Yummy Hits Pure Miami
Okay Miami, what are we doing right now?? A new hotel just popped up in South Beach named Donatella—but plot twist: Donatella Versace herself has NOTHING to do with it. And she is pissed.
The iconic fashion queen took to Instagram to call out the newly opened Donatella Boutique Hotel & Restaurant, saying loud and clear:
“To try to capitalize on our tragedy and my name for profit is disgraceful.”
UM. MIC DROP.
For context, the six-room boutique spot was launched by Nakash and Vida & Estilo Hospitality, the same crew behind Villa Casa Casuarina (aka the old Versace Mansion) and Gianni’s Restaurant. But now they’ve apparently gone full-on rogue by naming their latest project “Donatella”—without her permission, blessing, or even a courtesy text??? 💀
Let’s not forget: Gianni Versace was tragically killed on the mansion steps back in 1997. The family sold the property in 2000, and it’s been a boutique hotel ever since. So for someone to name a new place after Donatella—after everything that happened—and act like it’s a tribute?? Yeah… that’s not it.
And you know what? She’s so real for that. Using her name to attract guests and serve overpriced cocktails? That’s not luxury, it’s ✨low-vibrational branding✨.
Moral of the story: Don’t mess with Donatella. She’s not just a fashion icon—she’s a whole legacy.
