Chris Brown Just Shocked Everyone With His Plea To NEW Assault Charges

Chris Brown is back in headlines, but not for a surprise single or viral dance move—this time, it’s about more legal dramatied to a nightclub incident in London.

According to Billboard, on Friday, July 11, Breezy appeared at Southwark Crown Court where he entered not guilty pleas to two additional charges:
🔹 Assault causing actual bodily harm
🔹 Possessing an offensive weapon in a public place

He’s already pleaded not guilty to a more serious charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm stemming from the same incident.

Brown’s co-defendant, fellow artist Omololu Akinlolu, aka Hoody Baby, also pleaded not guilty.

Wait, what happened again?

The case goes back to February 2023, when U.K. music producer Abe Diaw accused Brown of violently attacking him at TAPE Nightclub in London. Diaw says Brown allegedly hit him over the head multiple times with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 (not exactly the collab we were expecting). When Diaw fell, he claimed Brown and Akinlolu punched and kicked him while he was down.

Diaw later went to the hospital and said he had to use crutches while recovering.

Fast forward to May 2025, Chris Brown was arrested in the U.K. right before his “Breezy Bowl XX World Tour” kicked off. He spent a few days behind bars but was released on bail and still managed to hit the stage in Manchester and beyond.

Diaw also filed a lawsuit but ended up withdrawing it with prejudice, meaning it can’t be refiled. It’s rumored there was a settlement, but no public confirmation (aka money might’ve been involved… we’re speculating).

Miami, he’s still coming 👀

Despite the ongoing case, Chris Brown is still set to perform in Miami on July 30, 2025 at LoanDepot Park. So unless the court hits pause, the show will go on.
