This one’s breaking our hearts. A tiny 10-week-old puppy named Pebbles was stolen from the Humane Society of Broward County, and now the community is rallying to bring her home.
According to Cherie Wachter from the Humane Society, Pebbles — a 10-pound cutie who’s been recovering from parasites and ringworm — was snatched from a secured kennel by a visitor carrying a backpack. It happened just before closing time on Friday, September 12th, at their Griffin Road shelter. Surveillance footage shows the suspect riding off on a bike with Pebbles in tow.
f you’re an animal lover, you know how serious this is. Pebbles isn’t just a puppy; she’s a fragile little life who needs medical care and safety. Shelters like the Humane Society of Broward County work tirelessly to protect animals like her, and it’s gut-wrenching when something like this happens.
Right now, there’s an active investigation underway. If you know anything — no matter how small it seems — you’re being asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. You can stay totally anonymous, and there’s even a reward of up to $5,000 for info that leads to finding Pebbles.
This isn’t just a headline. This is about a scared puppy who deserves to be safe, warm, and loved. Broward, let’s show up. Let’s get Pebbles home. 🐾💔
