Britney Spears has made her return to social media, reactivating her Instagram account and reflecting on a truly “eventful” year.
The “Baby One More Time” singer shared a new post on Friday (November 7), nearly a week after deactivating her account amid fan concern and mounting drama surrounding her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and the shocking claims made in his new memoir, People reports.
In the post, which featured the singer posing in racy lingerie and black boots, Spears offered a cryptic yet pointed message to her fans:
Spears previously deactivated her account on November 2 following a wave of fan concern over recent posts. Last month, she shared images showing bruising on her arms and bandages on her hand, which she attributed to a fall down the stairs.
The deactivation also followed her public confrontation with her ex-husband, Federline, who made claims in his memoir that she watched their sons, Sean (20) and Jayden (19), sleeping while holding a knife.
Spears previously called out her ex for spreading “lies.” A rep for the singer also slammed Federline’s claims, accusing him of “profiting” off his ex-wife, particularly noting that his remarks came “after child support has ended.”
“All [Spears] cares about are her kids Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensation,” the rep added.
