It’s time to save Townsville again. 💖💙💚
Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has confirmed that a new Powerpuff Girls movie is officially in development, bringing Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup back to the big screen.
The announcement was made during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. While the studio says the project is still in the early stages and hasn’t officially been greenlit, a Powerpuff Girls film is actively in the works.
Plot details haven’t been revealed yet, but the movie is expected to be based on the iconic Cartoon Network series. The original show follows three superpowered sisters created by Professor Utonium after he mixed sugar, spice, and everything nice—before accidentally adding the mysterious Chemical X.
Since debuting in 1998, the Powerpuff Girls have become one of Cartoon Network’s most recognizable franchises, with generations of fans following the trio as they protect Townsville from villains like Mojo Jojo, Him, and Princess Morbucks.
No release date or casting information has been announced, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.
