Lady Gaga is officially a mom! The 40-year-old pop superstar has reportedly welcomed her first child with fiancé Michael Polansky. According to People, a source confirmed that Gaga and Polansky quietly welcomed their baby, while Page Six first reported the news on Friday, September 11. The couple has not yet revealed the baby’s name, sex or exact date of birth, and Gaga has yet to publicly announce the new addition to her family.
The MAYHEM singer was also reportedly spotted in Northern California taking a casual walk with Polansky and a friend while carrying an infant against her chest in a baby wrap. The sighting comes after years of Lady Gaga openly discussing her hopes of becoming a mother. Gaga has previously said starting a family was an important part of her future, even describing motherhood as a potential “next starring role.”
Gaga and Michael Polansky have been together since 2020 and confirmed their engagement in July 2024 after four years of dating. Their relationship has also played a major role in Gaga’s recent music era. While accepting Best Pop Vocal Album for MAYHEM at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Gaga thanked Polansky for standing by her throughout the making of the record, telling him, “You are by my side every single day in a way that I can’t thank you enough for.”
Now, Mother Monster is entering an entirely new era: motherhood.
