Miami loves a free plan, and one of the city’s best outdoor movie nights is officially coming back. The SoundScape Cinema Series returns to Miami Beach on October 7, bringing free movies under the stars to SoundScape Park every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. The films are projected onto the massive 7,000-square-foot wall outside the New World Center, making this one of the coolest free things to do in Miami Beach this fall.
No tickets or reservations are required, so all you need is a blanket, some snacks and a good spot on the lawn. The movies are scheduled to play rain or shine, and with 28 films on the lineup this season, there are plenty of reasons to make SoundScape Park part of your Wednesday night plans. The season kicks off with Selena on October 7, followed by The Goonies, Casper and The Addams Family later that month.
The lineup continues through the spring with plenty of fan favorites, including Elf, Matilda, Mean Girls, The Princess and the Frog, The Parent Trap, Wicked: For Good and Toy Story 5. Other movies on the schedule include Creed, Top Gun, Past Lives, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Whether you’re looking for a Miami date night, a family-friendly activity or just a free night out with friends, there’s something on the schedule for just about everyone.
The SoundScape Cinema Series takes place Wednesdays at 8 p.m. at SoundScape Park in Miami Beach, and admission is completely free. With Selena, Mean Girls, The Parent Trap and Toy Story 5 all on the schedule, the hardest part might just be deciding which night to go. Keep it locked on Yummy Hits for more free things to do in Miami, South Florida events and local entertainment happening around the city.
