Art Meets Experience: Faena Unveils Monumental Installations for Miami Art Week 2026

Miami Beach is getting ready to shine a little brighter this December as Faena Art unveils two spectacular public art installations for Art Basel Miami Beach 2026.

Taking center stage is A Lore Supreme, a massive mirrored globe created by Abu Dhabi-based artist Christopher Joshua Benton. Measuring an impressive 28 feet tall and 44 feet wide, the sculpture will rise directly on the sand behind the iconic Faena Hotel from December 1 through December 6.

Inspired by the classic disco ball, the installation features approximately 7,000 reflective surfaces arranged into a reimagined world map. The artwork highlights the cultural contributions of Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America, celebrating the diverse musical influences that have shaped Miami’s identity.

But this isn’t just a sculpture to admire from afar. The installation will double as a gathering space, hosting live performances, music, wellness programming, and interactive cultural experiences throughout Miami Art Week.

One of the most anticipated highlights is a special performance by Major Lazer on December 2, bringing an energetic soundtrack to the already striking beachfront setting.

Meanwhile, inside the Faena Cathedral, Italian artist Marinella Senatore will present An Expanded Baroque Crown, an illuminated installation inspired by traditional Italian celebrations. The glowing artwork will provide a setting for poetry readings, dance, music, and community gatherings.

Both installations will be free and open to the public, offering visitors a chance to experience internationally acclaimed contemporary art beyond the traditional gallery setting.

With larger-than-life sculptures, dazzling lights, and an exciting lineup of cultural programming, Faena’s latest artistic presentations are shaping up to be among the most talked-about attractions of Miami Art Week 2026.

When: December 1–6, 2026

Where: Faena Beach and Faena Cathedral, Miami Beach

Admission: Free and open to the public for both installations; select special events may have restricted access.
