Forget the haunted houses. This Halloween, Miami drivers got their scares without ever leaving their cars.
On October 21, El Car Wash partnered with House of Horror to bring the Tunnel of Terror to its West Flagler location, transforming an everyday car wash into a haunted drive-through attraction for one night only.
Guests entered a tunnel filled with ominous red lighting, creepy sound effects, and live scare actors lurking around every corner. As vehicles moved through the wash, frightening characters appeared unexpectedly, turning a routine cleaning into a thrilling Halloween adventure.
The special activation also celebrated House of Horror’s 25th anniversary, bringing a taste of the popular haunted carnival experience to an entirely unexpected setting.
Adding to the excitement, participating drivers received two complimentary tickets to House of Horror at Tropical Park, while supplies lasted.
Combining Halloween thrills with a uniquely Miami twist, the Tunnel of Terror offered a creative alternative to traditional haunted attractions. No walking through dark hallways or abandoned buildings required — just buckle up, roll up the windows, and prepare for a seriously spooky ride.
For Miami residents looking for something different this Halloween season, this one-night-only experience proved that even a trip to the car wash could deliver a good scare.
