Ed Sheeran Surprise Street Gigs For Fans

Over the past weekend, Ed Sheeran surprised fans in three different US cities as part of his celebration for the release of his latest album, Subtract. The Subtract Pop-Up Experience was stationed in New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles, with additional pop-ups in Chicago and Boston from May 5th to May 7th. Sheeran’s first surprise street performance took place in New York where he jumped on top of a Volvo with his acoustic guitar and performed a set that included six songs, such as his latest single “Boat” and his hit “Thinking Out Loud”. This was just after he won a long copyright infringement trial about the song. Throughout the weekend, Sheeran continued to surprise fans. In Dallas, he passed out treats from an ice cream van and performed another new song, “Eyes Closed”. That night, he kicked off his Mathematics tour at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, marking his first North American performances in five years. In addition to the stadium dates, he will also perform Subtract in its entirety in a series of theatre shows for a more intimate setting. On Sunday, Sheeran performed another pop-up show on top of a double-decker tour bus in Los Angeles. Check out the videos below to see the performances!
