BTS’ Jung Kook is set to make a comeback with new music this summer! On Thursday, June 29th, BIGHIT Music, the band’s label, announced through Weverse that the singer-songwriter will be releasing a new solo single in July.
In their press release, BIGHIT Music stated, “We are thrilled to announce the release of ‘Seven,’ the solo digital single by BTS member Jung Kook.” They further revealed that “Seven” will be available for streaming on Friday, July 14th. The label described Jung Kook’s upcoming song as an “invigorating summer song” that will showcase the full extent of his charm. They expressed their hopes that “Seven” will elevate everyone’s summer experience to new heights.
This exciting news comes shortly after reports surfaced about Jung Kook’s highly anticipated solo album, which is expected to drop sometime this summer. BIGHIT responded to the rumors by stating, “We will make an announcement once the release schedule for Jung Kook’s solo album has been confirmed,” according to Soompi. Although Jung Kook released a solo song titled “Dreamers” last year for the FIFA World Cup, this upcoming album will mark his first official solo project.
In the press release for “Seven,” BIGHIT Music added, “As Jung Kook embarks on his official solo activities, we kindly ask for your utmost anticipation and support for his digital single and many more activities to come.” In other BTS news, the band recently announced the upcoming release of their first-ever book, “Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record Of BTS,” in celebration of their monumental 10-year journey as a record-breaking K-pop group. The book is now available for pre-order in 23 languages.
