During one of her Nashville shows in March, Taylor Swift excitedly announced that Speak Now would be the next album in her discography to undergo re-recording and re-release. The forthcoming album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), will consist of 22 songs, including six previously unreleased tracks from the vault. Following the pattern set by Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version), which were released in close succession in 2021, the album is highly anticipated by fans.
In early June, Swift unveiled the complete tracklist, along with the exciting news that Hayley Williams from Paramore and Fall Out Boy would be featured on the album. Taking to Twitter, she expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “I’m VERY excited to show you the back cover of Speak Now (my version), including the vault tracks and collaborations with Hayley Williams from @paramore and @falloutboy.” Swift further explained that she selected these pop-punk icons because they greatly influenced her as a lyricist during that time. She expressed her gratitude for their willingness to support her version of Speak Now, highlighting their coolness and generosity.
Recorded when she was 32, Swift eagerly looks forward to unveiling the album on July 7th, sharing her growth and experiences through the songs. The release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) promises to be a significant moment for both the artist and her dedicated fanbase.
