Despite the deep love and mutual respect they have for each other, the singers have jointly agreed to call off their engagement.

Their romantic journey began in August 2021, and they made their relationship public on social media the following month.

In a heartfelt gesture, Rosalía got a tattoo of “RR” on her foot in March 2022, symbolizing the shared initials of their names (Alejandro’s last name being Ruiz), after informing Alejandro about her plan beforehand.

In March, the couple delighted fans by announcing their engagement in the music video for their song “Beso,” featured on their joint EP RR.

Shortly after this exciting revelation, they granted an interview to Billboard, where they candidly discussed their relationship and the impact they had on each other’s artistic journeys. Rauw Alejandro praised Rosalía’s strong musical foundation and discipline, while admitting he had a more extroverted approach to his own music.
