Get ready for the initial taste of Taylor Swift’s “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)”! In a thrilling sneak peek for the Prime Video UK series “Wilderness,” the re-recorded rendition of Swift’s chart-topper, “Look What You Made Me Do,” has been unveiled. This marks the premiere of the new version and also serves as the first exposure of any song from the forthcoming re-release.
Notably, this isn’t the debut of a Taylor’s Version track in a Prime Video production. In June, “Back to December (Taylor’s Version)” from the re-recorded “Speak Now” graced the trailer of the teen drama series, “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
Earlier this month, Swift excitedly announced that her next album slated for the re-release treatment is none other than “1989,” her beloved 2014 classic. Mark your calendars for the drop of “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” on Friday, October 27th, roughly a year following the release of her 10th studio album, “Midnights.” This marks Swift’s fourth re-recorded album in the wake of “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” (2021), “Red (Taylor’s Version)” (2021), and “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” (2023).
The sneak peek of the revamped “Look What You Made Me Do” arrives hot on the heels of speculation surrounding Reputation as the next candidate for a Taylor’s Version. Ed Sheeran recently addressed these rumors during an interview, clarifying that there hasn’t been a re-recording of their collaborative track, “End Game,” from that album. He definitively stated, “No, I haven’t. No. But 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is the next one coming out. That’s the next one.”
