Billie Eilish pleasantly surprised her London fans with an intimate performance at the Electric Ballroom, a venue with a capacity of 1500, on Tuesday, August 29. This marked her return to club shows after a six-year hiatus, and her devoted fans were eager to get as close to her as possible. Consequently, Eilish had to pause her performance several times to assist fans who were struggling in the packed crowd.

Around three songs into her 20-song set, Eilish humorously remarked, “Can we please get some water for these folks? Where is security? Am I the new security here?”

She candidly admitted, “It’s been six years since I played in a small venue. I seem to have forgotten how to navigate this… I’m kind of having an anxiety moment right now. You guys look like you’re about to pass out; please take a step back.”

Later in the set, when her request for water went unanswered, Eilish exclaimed, “Seriously, nobody’s listening to me.”

Reflecting on the unique atmosphere of the show, she reiterated, “It’s been a while since we’ve done this,” and once again implored the audience to give themselves some space. She even asked if anyone needed an inhaler, playfully commenting, “I feel like I’m babysitting here. Are you all okay for me to continue?”

Despite the tight quarters and the occasional interruptions, the performance was truly memorable. Eilish treated her fans to her chart-topping hits and surprised them by bringing special guests Labrinth and Boygenius on stage for captivating renditions of “I’ve Never Felt So Alone” and “When The Party’s Over,” respectively.
