During her PLAY Las Vegas Residency on Wednesday, the 38-year-old pop sensation playfully hinted at the impending arrival of her “KP6 era” with a quip delivered on stage.
In fan-recorded footage, the “Harleys in Hawaii” singer declared to the crowd, “If you couldn’t support me during my Witness and Smile eras, you won’t be able to love me during my KP6 era.”

KP6 would mark her first follow-up to the 2020 album “Smile,” a reference she made while performing on the stage at the Resorts World Theatre in Resorts World Las Vegas. It’s worth noting that while “Witness” did reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and “Smile” reached No. 5, neither of these records attained the same level of commercial success as her earlier releases, such as the 2010 hit “Teenage Dream.”
“Witness” boasted lead singles like “Bon Appétit,” “Chained to the Rhythm,” and “Swish Swish,” while “Smile” featured tracks such as “Daisies” and “Not the End of the World.”
