The Kid LAROI Marks the Arrival of His First Studio Album ‘THE FIRST TIME’. This past Friday, November 10th, the Australian musician unveiled his latest album comprising 20 fresh tracks. The album boasts collaborations with artists such as Jung Kook, Central Cee, Baby Drill, Future, Robert Glasper, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and D4vd. ‘THE FIRST TIME’ stands as The Kid LAROI’s debut full-length album and represents his initial release since 2020’s ‘F*ck Love’.

“I felt unprepared to continually release new material. I sensed a need to take a break and sort out personal matters,” he explained. “I wasn’t entirely content with the music I was creating, perhaps? So, I believe that when both of these aspects align, you need to be in a clearer state of mind to craft good music. Ironically, much of what we produced happened in about three months. It involved sifting through things we didn’t like to eventually find what we did.”

A significant transformation occurred during the album’s creation. “In 2021, I was 17, 18. The transition from that age to around 20 is significant. You’re maturing, altering your perspective, traveling extensively, encountering different experiences, and gaining new outlooks. There were personal experiences behind the scenes,” he revealed to Wright. “Although two years may not seem long, looking back to 2021 feels like a lifetime ago. It’s as though I was in an entirely different place. Considering the events during that time, everything moved swiftly.”

This period also brought a surge in public interest in his music. “I’m appreciative, you know. Gratitude is essential. It’s an interesting question because I feel relatively ordinary,” he responded to being in the spotlight. “Initially, when I began making music, I didn’t care about others’ opinions. I could release something without much concern for what people thought. If I liked the music and my friends did too, I’d put it out. However, achieving more success or being more visible in the public eye somehow makes you doubt yourself more.” Fortunately, he credits “good friends” and therapy for providing substantial support and guidance.
