Amid her newfound romance with Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez is emphasizing her relationship priorities.
In a Vogue México y Latinoamérica interview released on Thursday (December 21), the 31-year-old “Single Soon” singer, without explicitly referring to him, discussed her preferences in a partner. While Gomez recently confirmed her relationship with the 35-year-old music producer, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, she highlighted the traits she values in a significant other. She expressed the importance of seeking someone who exhibits empathy towards others and also maintains a sense of self-worth, as reported by People.
“Truly, I need to gravitate towards the right kind of individuals because it’s a combination,” she remarked. “Finding someone who can truly listen and genuinely care about you is a challenge, but I’m confident that when it happens, it will be amazing and, most importantly, healthy.”
The duo, having a longstanding acquaintance and a history of collaboration, have reportedly been in a relationship for six months. Confirming their romance earlier this month, she affectionately expressed, “He means the world to me,” and went on to defend their relationship against unsupportive comments from fans, asserting that he has been “the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
