Director Todd Phillips has unveiled fresh glimpses of the much-anticipated Joker: Folie à Deux. These new photos feature Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix, alongside Zazie Beetz and Brendan Gleeson, in the upcoming film set for a 2024 release. Serving as a sequel to the 2019 Joker movie, the plot details remain largely undisclosed.

Phillips shared the images on Instagram on Christmas Day (December 25), extending holiday wishes and hinting at the film’s October 2024 release with the hashtag Joker 2. One picture seemingly portrays Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck behind bars, while the second captures Lady Gaga in a contemplative gaze at the Joker. Over 1,600 Instagram users have eagerly commented, anticipating further revelations about the forthcoming movie.

Earlier this year, Gaga offered glimpses of her role as Harley Quinn, sharing a photo on Instagram with the caption “That’s a wrap,” followed by some emojis and signed off as “X, Harleen.” The highly-anticipated Joker: Folie à Deux is slated for its premiere on October 4, 2024.
