Yummy Hits Pure Miami
Ariana Grande is sparking anticipation for the upcoming year! On Wednesday, December 27th, the pop sensation took to Instagram, dropping hints about her much-awaited seventh studio album, fondly referred to as #AG7 by her devoted fanbase across social media.
She teased her followers with an image of her lips alongside a note stating “See you next year,” followed by a subsequent post bearing the same caption. Grande also treated fans to glimpses of her studio sessions, showcasing moments of herself working, including a snapshot where she appears emotional in front of a mixing board. Fans keenly observed one image that seemed to resemble a set for a music video.
The Instagram carousel culminated with a video featuring a jubilant Grande giggling as the person behind the camera asks her, “Are you tired? Have you been working hard? Is this almost the last day of this album?”
Grande candidly responds, “I’m feeling exhausted but incredibly happy and grateful.” Bursting into laughter, she adds, “I swear, I feel like I’m as heavy as 3,000 tons. The thought of moving seems utterly impossible.”
The upcoming album marks Grande’s first release since 2020’s Positions. Fans were recently thrilled when the singer’s Wicked co-star Bowen Yang spilled the beans about having already listened to the album. “There are multiple catchy tunes on it, it’s going to surprise everyone. Ariana and Max did an outstanding job,” Yang remarked, referring to renowned producer Max Martin.
In addition to the highly-anticipated new music, 2024 promises Grande’s starring role in the much-awaited film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, set to hit theaters on November 27th, 2024.
