‘Yes, And?’ Ariana Grande Set to Release New Single This Friday

Ariana Grande, who recently announced the completion of her highly anticipated seventh studio album, revealed on Sunday morning that the album’s first single is set to release on Friday. The track, reportedly titled “Yes, And?,” represents a playful continuation from Grande’s 2019 semi-autobiographical single and album, “Thank U, Next.”

Despite her appearances on various hit singles in recent years, notably in the Weeknd’s remixes of “Save Your Tears” and “Die for You,” the singer has not released an album or a single under her own name since “Positions,” her sixth full-length album, which debuted in October 2020. Grande has been deeply involved in Universal’s upcoming big-screen adaptation of the successful Broadway musical “Wicked,” scheduled for release in November. Additionally, she underwent a quieter transition, parting ways with her longtime manager Scooter Braun and is now represented by Brandon Creed, known for handling artists such as Lovato, Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, among others.

Last year, a series of Instagram posts hinted at Ariana Grande’s work on her upcoming seventh album alongside longtime collaborators Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh. These posts included silent clips of Grande singing in the studio, notably without sharing any snippets of the music. On December 27, she officially confirmed the album’s impending release this year, indicating a possible sooner-than-expected arrival. This speculation arose as she tagged video director Christian Breslauer and several dancers in her post. The photos shared included snapshots of Grande dancing and another depicting her in an emotional moment, tearfully expressing, “I’m so tired… But so happy and grateful.” She elaborated that these contrasting emotions represent the dual essence of the album.
