Ariana Grande is starting the week by divulging more details about her upcoming album. On Monday morning (January 8th), the pop sensation took to her Instagram Story to provide additional clarity about her imminent single and forthcoming studio album.
“p.s. I couldn’t hold back any longer to share with you,” she expressed beside the image used to unveil her upcoming single. “Although this isn’t the album title, it is indeed one of the album covers (well… one of them!)” Grande had previously revealed the release of her latest single, “yes, and?” set to debut later this week on January 12th.
As 2023 drew to a close, Ariana Grande confirmed the imminent arrival of new music in the upcoming year. After teasing fans with a photo of her lips and a note stating “See you next year,” Grande later shared a post with the same caption. She also offered glimpses into her creative process, sharing photos and videos of herself working in the studio.
This upcoming album will mark Grande’s first release since 2020’s “Positions.” Before the official announcements, excitement had already been building among fans, particularly when Ariana’s Wicked co-star Bowen Yang revealed that he had already listened to the album. “There are several bops on it, everyone is going to be gagged. Ariana and Max killed it,” Yang commented, referring to the renowned pop music producer Max Martin.
Beyond the highly anticipated new music, 2024 will also feature Grande in a prominent role in the eagerly awaited first part of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, scheduled to hit theaters on November 27th, 2024.
