Normani is back with exciting news! After clearing her Instagram profile, the former Fifth Harmony member revealed the stunning cover for her debut solo album, titled “DOPAMINE.”
“Crying typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM,” she shared alongside the album cover. While Normani has not confirmed the release date yet, she did share a link to a website amusingly titled WheresTheDamnAlbum.com, which features a rotating series of possible release dates.
This long-awaited announcement comes approximately a month after Normani confirmed her plans to release new music this year. Speaking at the premiere of “Freaky Tales” during the 2024 Sundance Film Festival in January, she teased, “I mean the singles have changed, I will definitely say that, and you guys won’t know what’s coming. I’m so, so excited. The artwork is fire!”
When questioned about the release of her singles in 2024, Normani enthusiastically responded, “Yeah! Girl, I want this to come out just as bad as you guys do. I think that’s such a misconception. I want this project to come out more than literally anybody.”
Expressing pride in her work, Normani stated, “It’s literally the best music I’ve ever made and I couldn’t be more proud.” She assured fans, “I know that once it comes out, you guys are gonna be like, ‘Ok. The wait was definitely worth it.'”
Normani also hinted at a new musical era during a Bose partnership last summer. A feature for the brand partnership declared, “Normani is ready for a career-defining return to the scene with her highly anticipated debut album finally on the cusp!” Furthermore, a new commercial for Bose offered a sneak peek of her upcoming single, reportedly titled “Candy Paint,” according to Pop Crave.
