Tate McRae Recalls Terrifying Jet Ski Accident: ‘We Nearly Landed In A Whale’s Mouth’

Okay, imagine you’re vibing on vacation with your boo, The Kid LAROI, and the next thing you know, you’re literally ten feet away from being swallowed by a whale. Yeah, that’s what went down for Tate McRae during a jet ski trip that sounds straight out of a horror movie. 🐋

Tate spilled all the tea about the wild incident during a UK radio interview, and let’s just say… you might think twice about hopping on a jet ski after hearing this. According to Page Six, Tate said, “I didn’t realize what I was getting myself into. You trust your boyfriend, but also, jet skis are the worst. They flip over every two seconds.”

And flip they DID. The two ended up in the ocean, and the next thing Tate knew, they were just ten feet away from a whale. Like, WHAT?! “It was the big moment of our trip. I was like, ‘We nearly just landed in a whale’s mouth!'” she recalled.

The ocean already gives off freaky vibes, and Tate’s not having it. She went on to say, “The ocean is just a really freaky thing to me. You’re in there, it’s black, your toes are dangling, and that’s so weird.” And let’s be real, we all know that exact feeling she’s talking about—major nope. 😬 She added, “When we fell in the water, you’re just tingling at the bottom of your feet, and you’re like, ‘We could die right now.’”

Talk about a bonding experience! Tate and The Kid LAROI have been dating through most of 2024, and after surviving a near-whale encounter, their relationship’s on a whole new level. We’re just glad they made it out safe, but also… terrifying. 🌊
