Taylor Swift just scored major points with fans—again. As the record-breaking Eras Tour gears up for its final bow next month in Vancouver, AEG Presents CEO Jay Marciano revealed something pretty amazing: Taylor refused to use dynamic pricing for her tickets.
In an interview with HITS Daily Double, Marciano confirmed that Swift could have gone the route of dynamic pricing (a.k.a. skyrocketing prices when demand is insane), but she said nope. Instead, she chose to keep ticket prices stable, even though it meant potentially making less money. “She was willing to make decisions that potentially cut into her income because she was taking a long-term view of her career,” Marciano said.
If you’ve ever watched ticket prices jump while trying to snag seats to your favorite concert, you already know—dynamic pricing is a fan’s nightmare. The system, which jacks up prices as demand surges, can make concert-going feel totally out of reach. So, Taylor’s move to avoid it was a huge win for Swifties.
Despite skipping out on dynamic pricing, the Eras Tour is officially the first tour in history to gross over $1 billion. Not only is Taylor putting on the highest-grossing tour of all time, but she’s doing it on her own terms, prioritizing fans over extra cash. And honestly? We’re here for it.
Cheers to Taylor for proving once again that she’s for the fans, and congrats to everyone who got to experience this iconic tour! 🌟
