Beyoncé Just Won Her First Emmy For ‘The Beyoncé Bowl’
Beyoncé can officially add Emmy winner to her resume. Yep, Queen Bey just snagged her very first golden statue thanks to her jaw-dropping 2024 Super Bowl halftime show, a.k.a. The Beyoncé Bowl.
The Television Academy revealed the winners of its juried Emmy categories (aka the ones decided by a panel of experts instead of voting), and Bey walked away with the award for Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming. Basically, the fits ate so hard they got their own Emmy. 🏆
She shares the win with her powerhouse team:
Costume designer Shiona Turini
Assistant designers Erica Rice + Molly Peters
Costume supervisor Chelsea Staebell
Workroom head Timothy White
Together, they brought the glitter, drama, and unforgettable looks that turned the halftime show into a full-on cultural reset.
And Bey’s Emmy journey isn’t over—The Beyoncé Bowl is also up for Outstanding Variety Special and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special at the upcoming Primetime Emmys. Meaning: EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) is suddenly looking way more realistic. 👀
The Creative Arts Emmys, where this award will officially be handed out, go down Sept. 6–7. The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from LA’s Peacock Theater on Sept. 14.
💭 Bottom line: Beyoncé’s already got 35 Grammys, now an Emmy, and she’s only halfway to an EGOT. The reign just won’t let up.
