The Hollywood Walk of Fame expresses a desire to honor Matthew Perry, but the decision ultimately lies with his family.

The potential of Matthew Perry receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, alongside Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston, is a real consideration. However, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, responsible for managing the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame, has expressed their willingness to bestow this honor posthumously, but it ultimately hinges on the decision of Perry’s family as to when and if it takes place.

As reported by TMZ, Matthew Perry had been nominated for a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2013, thanks to a submission by his public relations firm. Regrettably, no official ceremony was arranged, and by 2018, the nomination had expired.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce remains confident in the possibility of reinstating the honor for Matthew, pending approval by the selection committee chair. Officials from the Chamber have expressed their belief that the approval process would be straightforward.

Up to this point, we have been informed that none of Matthew’s family members have made contact with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce regarding the scheduling of a star ceremony. Given the circumstances, this lack of communication is completely understandable.
