Kendall Schmidt, a member of Big Time Rush, pleasantly surprised fans during the holiday season by sharing some thrilling personal news. On Thanksgiving day (November 23rd), the singer used Instagram to announce that he and his wife, Mica von Turkovich, are expecting their first child together.

“Thankful for my baby,” he expressed alongside a video showcasing Mica proudly displaying her growing baby bump. In the comments section, Schmidt’s BTR bandmates extended their congratulations. “So Thankful for this little family. Love you,” wrote Logan Henderson, while James Maslow conveyed his affection by leaving three red heart emojis.

Shortly after revealing their exciting baby news, Kendall Schmidt also shared the joyous announcement of his marriage to Mica. Celebrating his 33rd birthday on November 2nd, the boyband member expressed gratitude to fans for their birthday wishes on Instagram. “Life is good!” he conveyed, adding, “I’m so grateful for all of you and especially my beautiful wife @mica_chu.”

Kendall and Mica began dating in 2015, and their engagement took place in a special moment on stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York in 2022, witnessed by James, Logan, and Carlos PenaVega. Reflecting on the proposal, Mica explained on Instagram, “Kendall promised me a long time ago that he wouldn’t propose to me on stage. He broke his promise just a little bit but I like this promise more,” She continued, “On a stage but just in front of some friends and my sister @gabrielavt. Right where we met 10 years ago.
