Miley Cyrus commemorates the success of her hit track “Flowers” by gifting fans with a jazz-infused rendition. Sharing a video on Wednesday night (November 30th), the songstress showcased her performance of the revamped version in front of an intimate audience. Dressed elegantly in a black outfit with slicked-back hair, Cyrus took center stage accompanied by a piano.

“Live from Chateau Marmont. Thank you for the support this year. Love, Miley 🌹,” she wrote alongside the post. During her rendition, Cyrus inserted some sassy adlibs, embellishing the song’s chorus intro. As she sang, “Started to cry but then remembered I…” she playfully added, “I’m the CEO of my own company!” Additionally, in the second verse, she humorously included, “I’m in Dolce!” as a reference to her attire.

Earlier this year, when Miley dropped the hit single “Flowers,” fans speculated it was about her past relationship with Liam Hemsworth. Enthusiastic fans noted the song’s official release date on January 13th, which aligns with Liam’s birthday. Even before the song’s release, fans picked up on possible subtle references to a tense red carpet incident between the former couple. Following the release of the song and its music video, fans formulated more theories, suggesting the chorus hinted at a love song Liam once dedicated to Miley.

In her “Used To Be Young” TikTok series, Miley disclosed a pivotal moment in her decision to end her marriage with Hemsworth. She revealed, “The day of the show was the day that I had decided that it was no longer going to work in my life to be in that relationship. So, that was another moment where the work, the performance, the character came first and I guess that’s why it’s now so important to me for that to not be the case. That the human comes first.”
