Ariana Grande may have found one of the most creative ways to reveal a new album tracklist.
During recent stops on her Eternal Sunshine Tour, fans discovered that countdown graphics shown before each concert appear to be secretly unveiling songs from Grande’s upcoming album, Petal, which is set to arrive on July 31.
The first clue appeared during her June 13 show at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles when the screen briefly flashed “1. Kiss Me.” Then, during her June 14 performance, fans spotted another surprise when “3. Petal” appeared on screen, confirming the title track from the upcoming Ariana Grande album.
The reveal seems to confirm a fan theory that Grande is slowly unveiling the Petal tracklist throughout the tour. With lead single “Hate That I Made You Love Me” already released and debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, fans now know the first three songs on the album:
The new Ariana Grande album will feature 12 tracks in total, meaning there are still nine song titles left to be revealed. Fortunately for fans, there are plenty of opportunities for more clues. Grande’s next shows take place this week at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, where many believe additional songs from Petal could be unveiled before the album’s release.
While the full tracklist remains a mystery, Grande has previously described Petal as “a little feral” and coming from a place she had been “too shy or polite to tap into before,” giving fans a hint at the more vulnerable and unfiltered direction of the project.
With excitement building around Petal and every stop of the Eternal Sunshine Tour generating new clues, fans are paying closer attention than ever to the countdown clock before the show. At this rate, Ariana Grande might reveal her entire album tracklist before July 31 ever arrives. 🌸🎶
