Post Malone and Swae Lee’s collaboration has made history. On February 8, the Recording Industry Association of America announced that their track “Sunflower” has surpassed 20 million streams and downloads in the U.S. This achievement marks the first time a song has attained double-Diamond status in the RIAA’s history. Not only does “Sunflower” hold the record for the most certifications, but it also contributes to Malone’s impressive collection of certifications. In the previous year, Malone surpassed Bruno Mars’ record for the artist with the most Diamond singles, with hits like “Circles,” “Better Now,” and “I Fall Apart” reaching 10x Platinum status.

“Sunflower” emerged as the standout single from the soundtrack of the animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, released in 2018. The song received nominations in two categories, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
