Tyla’s highly anticipated debut album has finally dropped. Released via Fax/Epic Records, the South African sensation’s self-titled LP features standout tracks like “Truth or Dare,” “ART,” and the chart-topping “Water,” including a remix featuring Travis Scott. Notably, Tems joins her on “No. 1,” while Becky G collaborates on “On My Body.” Additionally, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Kelvin Momo make appearances. To celebrate the album’s release, Tyla dropped stunning visuals for “ART.”

“When I announced my album back in November, everything that’s happening has surpassed anything I could have dreamt of,” Tyla expressed. “African music is going global, and I’m so blessed to be one of the artists pushing the culture. I’ve been working on my sound for 2 years now, and I’m so ready for the world to hear it. I cannot wait for the world to experience an African Popstar.”

Since releasing her debut single “Getting Late” in 2019, the South African singer has been steadily ascending in the realm of superstardom. Over the past five years, Tyla has collaborated with artists like Arya Starr and achieved significant success on charts worldwide, notably with her hit “Water.” This song propelled the 22-year-old artist to win her first Grammy for Best African Music Performance, making her the inaugural recipient after the Recording Academy introduced the category to honor music from Africa.
