Yummy Hits Pure Miami
Disney fans, get ready to freak out—literally. At the latest D23 event in California, Disney unveiled some epic news that’s got everyone buzzing.
First up, James Cameron hit the stage to announce Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment in the Avatar series, set to drop on December 19, 2025. He teased the 12,000-strong crowd, saying, “It won’t be what you expect,” but promised it’ll still blow your mind. Considering the previous films set insane records, this one’s going to be a must-watch.
Then, in a surprise twist, Jon Favreau gave us the scoop on a new Star Wars film: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Yup, you read that right. Pedro Pascal is back, and this new chapter in the galaxy far, far away is already in the works, aiming for a May 2026 release. As executive producer Dave Filoni put it, “We’re putting Star Wars back on the big screen.” We’re so ready.

But that’s not all. Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis made a nostalgic comeback to promote Freakier Friday, the sequel to their 2003 hit Freaky Friday. They hinted that this one’s going to be even crazier and more emotional. The movie is slated for release in 2025, and fans at D23 gave them a standing ovation, proving the hype is real.
Oh, and Pixar dropped some heat too. The Incredibles 3 is officially happening, with Brad Bird returning to direct. Plus, Frozen director Jennifer Lee confirmed that Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 are in the pipeline. She teased that there are still a ton of questions from Frozen 2 that need answering, so we’re getting two more movies to dive deeper into Arendelle’s icy mysteries.
Bottom line: Disney’s lineup for the next few years is stacked, and we’re here for it. Mark your calendars, because these releases are going to be legendary.
