One of South Beach’s most famous stretches is about to get a serious glow-up. The City of Miami Beach, State of Florida, and Sobe Sky Development — the team behind the Ritz-Carlton South Beach — have officially approved a $12 million public-private redesign for the 100–300 blocks of Lincoln Road and the Beachwalk entrance.

The project is all about blending Miami’s signature style with a more connected, walkable, and art-forward experience. Planned upgrades include:

  • A grand concourse layout to make the street feel more open and inviting

  • A public art walk showcasing local talent and creative culture

  • Safer pedestrian flow near Collins Avenue

  • Traffic redesign to cut down congestion

  • A gateway monument inspired by classic Miami architecture

City leaders say the redesign will breathe new life into this iconic corridor, making it easier for locals and visitors to stroll from shopping and dining straight to the beach. The revamped Lincoln Road promises to deliver peak Miami vibes — part urban runway, part open-air art gallery, part beach day starting point.

With construction on the horizon, the future of Lincoln Road looks set to be even more photo-worthy, people-friendly, and unmistakably South Beach.
