Miami Beach is bringing back one of its coolest free outdoor experiences. Starting October 10, the New World Symphony will once again take over SoundScape Park with its popular WALLCAST® concert series, broadcasting live performances from inside the New World Center onto its massive 7,000-square-foot exterior wall. Translation: you can experience a full symphony performance under the Miami Beach sky without buying a ticket.
The WALLCAST® concerts are completely free and open to the public, with performances shown outside in 4K UHD. Guests can grab a spot on the lawn, bring a blanket or chair and watch the orchestra perform on the giant screen while enjoying the South Florida weather. It’s basically an outdoor movie night, except instead of a movie, you’re watching a live performance happening just a few feet away inside the New World Center.
The season kicks off October 10 at 7:30 p.m. with “Denève: Beethoven 9,” followed by “Denève: Prokofiev’s Violin” on November 21, “Denève: Brahms 3” on December 12 and “Sounds of the Season” on December 19. The series continues in 2027 with “Strange Magic: Ravel + Stravinsky” on January 30, “Denève: Mahler 1” on February 20 and wraps up May 1 at 8 p.m. with “Gershwin, Adams & Connesson.” All performances except the May finale begin at 7:30 p.m.
Whether you’re actually into classical music or just looking for something different to do in Miami Beach, WALLCAST® is a pretty hard deal to beat: live music, an enormous outdoor screen and no admission fee. SoundScape Park is located next to the New World Center in Miami Beach, making this an easy addition to a South Beach night out. With only seven WALLCAST® performances scheduled for the season, save the dates now if you want to catch one.
